Independence levels
OMG!!! We are super excited to announce our first Level 2 people!
We are focusing on our behaviours and expectations in Whetu Piata. Every time we are showing the right behaviours in our zones we are rewarded with a yellow pin. We count up our pins to see where we are for our independence levels.
Congratulations to our level 3 children:
Kaden, Mila and Chloe!!!

Week 3
We are heading in to week 3 tomorrow and it's a full week! Ouch (ha ha)!!!
What's on top?
What's on top?
- We are wanting parent email addresses so we can share you in to your child's free writing docs
- We need your child's library card so we can photocopy it for use on Thursday afternoons at the Awapuni library.
- Togs - yes these are required daily
- Saving the best for last... Our school App. Head to your phone App store and install this AMAZING App. We will be using it for messages from us to you. We have sent out a few messages already so make sure you install this App today. Yay!
MUST DOs
Your child may have come home discussing Must Dos. What are they??? What does this mean??? Must Dos are tasks that they children are expected to do during our learning time. Once they have completed the task to a high standard they take their sheets to a teacher to be signed off. The Can dos are tasks for the children to complete AFTER they have finished their Must Dos.
Take a look at our Must Dos for Week 3...

Library Cards and Parent Emails
Kia Ora Whanau,
Please bring your child/children's library card to school so we can photocopy it.
Also can you please give me an email address that we can use to link you into your child/children's google docs. This way you are linked into their work and can comment on what they are doing.
You can either write it down and give it to me or send me an email. Please write your child's name on the piece of paper/email so I don't have to do the guessing game.

Thanks heaps,
Mrs Whitta and Miss Denniston

Week 2
Wow, I can't believe we are in to week 2 already!!
We are going to be having a week based around task cards and must dos. This will help our children understand how to use both of these before we start up our Math and Literacy workshops. It's going to be a lot of fun!!!!
Here is their Must do grids for this week. Ask you children how they are progressing throughout the week.
Here is the link for the WHETU PIATA KAHOOT. Take a look...
