Hello to you all,
We are starting to unpack what Whetu Piata are going to do in the whole school production.
Our scene will be focusing on being business people who are far too busy to worry about our environment.
Our props will be made by us. The kids are working on how we should develop our props. Take a look at our slides to see our vision.

Basketball with Miles
We are extremely lucky this term as we have an expert Basketball player teaching us about the fundamental skills of balling...
Beef helps us play - there is a lot of iron in it lol
Bend knees, feet apart (Basketball stance)
Eyes on the target - not on the ball
Elbows in to support your shooting
Flick your wrists

Zero Waste (projects)
Hi All,
Today we made our sea creatures out of recycled products. It was lots of fun and the kids loved making their animal.
Here is a few pictures of some of the kids from Whetu Piata getting creative!

What can we reuse?
Today we looked at what we can reuse from our 'rubbish'
Can we use things more than once?
Should we use glad wrap?
Should we use disposable nappies?
How can you reuse items in your household?

Zero Waste
Hi Parents,
Yesterday we had Shirley come into LC 12/13 to talk about recycling. We talked about what types of things we need to recycle and what are natural resources. It was very interesting!!
We are doing a recycling project too. We need every child to bring in a egg cartoon and a small cardboard box into class by next Monday 9th of May. Your child/children have brought a sheet home, so take a look.
Thank you for all your help!!
These are a few notes from our super brainstorm!
