Explore- Team building
Today we had four teams competing in our team building challenges. They were called 'awesome building', 'super girls', 'wreaking ball' and the 'building chainsaws'. The first task was to build the same tower than Miss Dennistons. The first team to build the exact tower would get a point. We had 15 rounds. The last challenge was to build the biggest tower. The 'building chainsaws' won this challenge which made them win the whole competition.
We had lots of fun, check the video out!!

Challenges
We are doing really well with our Challenges Unit. One of the challenges we gave to the kids was to be part of the Running Man Challenge sensation that is sweeping the globe.
We looked at examples on YouTube and had a go ourselves. The children were all very patient as we took take after take to get an exceptional video.
We are very proud of their efforts!!!
Take a looksy!!!!

Team Building
In our explore session today we were doing team building. The aim was to work as a team to get the cup from the ground to your head. They couldn't use their hands but all they had was a piece of string between two people.
They all came up with different ways of doing this. There was a lot of mistakes, ups and downs and frustration but they all managed to do a great job!!
Check out our teams in the finals!!

Japanese Counting
Here are the numbers from 1-10
To count from 11-19 you say juu (10) first and then add on the number
eg 11 = juu ichi
To count from 11-19 you say juu (10) first and then add on the number
eg 11 = juu ichi
This is a lot like the way we count in Maori as well! Very interesting.
Challenge for you...
Can you please tell me how to say 32 in Japanese? If you come and tell me or email me the answer you will gain yourself a participation pin. If your parents can answer it they can earn YOU another participation pin!!!!!!
